History
We’d like to invite you to participate in the Second Annual Phools Parade on Saturday, April 16th, 2011 at (tentatively) 2pm in New Paltz.
Group or individual efforts are both encouraged and we welcome any and all creative artistic expression with the provision that the art be artist-powered, that is, no motorized floats.
Currently we are looking for Artists, Musicians, Theatre and Puppet Troupes, and Any Age Students to participate in our parade. Participants may dress as an artist (Warhol) or an art subject (Mona Lisa), push a sculpture of any type, make a puppet, a flag, a banner, a hat or any wearable art, create art on the fly, engage in performance art…etc., etc.
The goal is a fun, family- and community-friendly event celebrating the creative spark in all of us. All ages and skill levels welcome and encouraged.
